UAE- DEC reviews health funding system


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Dubai Executive Council (DEC), on Monday, discussed the proposal of funding the health services in Dubai. Chaired by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council (DEC), in the presence of Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of the DEC; Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and CEO of Emirates Group; Abdulla Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the DEC; and the council members, the meeting aimed at boosting cooperation between the government agencies and private corporations to provide the health services and ensure efficiency in accordance with the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015. The Health Funding System will ease access of limited income categories to the health services, promote quality of dispensed health services and upgrade the health system. The DEC also discussed the initial results of survey on the uses of social communication network in Dubai and how to spread awareness on exemplary uses of such networks at the public institutions. The council members also reviewed the recommendation of the Economic Development Commission on the decision to stop increasing the fees of government services, and decided to extend the implementation of the resolution and work on the periodic study in this respect.
