(MENAFN Press) Amman, May 2012 - DAMAMAX, a subsidiary of DAMA Ventures and one of the largest backbone operators in the Kingdom providing broadband solutions through optical fiber, appointed Eng. Mohammad-Monir Ghannam as the Company's Chief Executive Officer, in succession of Eng. Eyad Abu Khorma. Eng. Ghannam took on his new position after having acquired a successful longstanding career within Jordan's ICT sector.
As part of his responsibilities as DAMAMAX's CEO, Eng. Ghannam seeks to strengthen the Company's existing partnerships and establish new ones, in an effort to overcome and transform current challenges within the telecom sector into real opportunities. He also strives to introduce new services to the Jordanian market by utilizing the Company's state-of-the-art backbone infrastructure, in an effort to provide customers with a top-notch telecom and Internet experience.

Eng. Ghannam started his professional career as an Assistant Professor at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, from which he also graduated. In 1992, he joined Ideal Systems (currently known as Optimiza) as Compaq/HP Product Manager. In 1997, Eng. Ghannam held the position of Technical Director/Deputy General Manager at Cyberia Jordan, where he pioneered the implementation of the very first digital leased lines in the Kingdom. In 2005, he was promoted to General Manager and Board Member at the Company. Eng. Ghannam earned his BSC of Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Egypt.
