Dubai's Aviation District starts shaping

(MENAFN) Dubai World Central (DWC) officially started construction works at its Aviation District which will host the Dubai Airshow from 2013, Arabian Business reported. The Aviation District will be constructed on a 6.7 sq km area within DWC, and was designed as a one-stop centre for all aviation-related operations. Also, Majestic Wings Private Airplane Charter plans to move to the Aviation district within 12 months, making it among the first high-profile aviation companies to set up operations there. DWC said that the company will occupy a 7,360 sqm plot within one of the district's premium locations, and will build its own hangar facility. DWC and Majestic Wings had earlier signed a USD5.44 million deal, in which Majestic will set up its own facilities to offer a full range of FBO services with a focus on business jets.
