(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Filipino woman who claimed to have been kidnapped and raped to the level of bleeding later confessed lying to protect an Arab boyfriend who had actually engaged her in immoral act, reports Al-Rai daily.
Apparently, the woman placed a distress call to the Operations Room, claiming she had been kidnapped and raped to bleeding. She alleged the perpetrator waylaid her while walking with a friend along a road in Salhiya Area, and he raped her until she was bleeding.
Meanwhile, as officers interrogated the friend whom she claimed to have been walking with when the incident took place, the friend contradicted her claim. It was then the officers grilled the Filipino again until she confessed making the false claim to protect her Arab boyfriend against prosecution.
She explained the boyfriend had invited her to an apartment where she willingly slept with him. Police have since referred the woman and her boyfriend to Public Prosecution.
