Jordan- Fire kills 2 children, third dies of snakebite


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Two children died on Saturday after a fire erupted in their home in Mafraq Governorate, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD). CDD personnel extinguished the fire, which spread over 40 square metres of the house. The bodies of the two children, who suffered third-degree burns, were taken to Mafraq Public Hospital, the CDD said, adding that a committee was formed to determine the cause of fire. Also yesterday, a five-year old child died after being bitten by a snake in the town of Rakin in Karak, according to a medical source in the governorate. The body was sent to the Karak Forensic Centre.
