Al Dabbous and Ssangyong executives at the launch of Chairman car in Riyadh.
(MENAFN - Arab News) Ssangyong South Korean Auto company announced the launch of its official showrooms in Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah, at a ceremony in Riyadh yesterday. The ceremony was also marked by the exclusive agency of Al Dabbous Auto Company launching the new Chairman car.

Walid Khalid Al-Dabbous, Al Dabbous companies' chairman, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the invitees, saying: "The launch of the most recent Chairman car, manufactured by Ssangyong company, will the increasing needs of Saudis for luxurious cars. The car is the result a long study.

Al Dabbous said: "The Saudi market is able to host a big number of auto companies and it is a competitive market that offers a wide range of choices. Based on durability, quality, and price, we will be a leading company in this field."

Choi Jong, Ssangyong vice president, said "Ssangyong has had an excellent track record since its establishment, and our factory in Korea is working on producing a comprehensive line-up of SUVs such as Rexton, Kyron, Koranda, Actyon Sports, and Chairman w Sedan."

Al-Dabbous and his partner company last week launched their first branch in Riyadh as an agent of the Korean Ssangyong company and Chinese Haima company in a new move after the resounding success of the company over the years in Kuwait, where the company holds a 2 percent share of the auto market.

Before the launch ceremony, the official showrooms had many visitors interested in cars, which are of high quality and competitive prices suiting various people depending on their affordability.

Al-Dabbous said he was confident that his company would take a distinct share of the highly competitive Saudi market in the next few months.

Al-Dabbous added that the company was founded in 1996 in Kuwait for marketing and implementing its operations, which have now been expanded into Saudi Arabia. "We have exclusive agency for Ssangyong cars, which is considered one of the four biggest car manufacturers in South Korea and the first in SUVs.

Ssangyong's new Chairman comes with two models - CW700 and CW700L. Its engine is provided with 6-cylinder 3600 cc power 250 hp, tiptronic automatic transmission is associated with a gearbox of 7-speed forward and two-speed backward.
