Amman, April 2012 “In line with its ongoing efforts to engage with customers and local community members via social media platforms, Teeba Investment for Developed Food Processing Company launched Facebook fan-pages and Twitter channels for its Teeba, Almarai and Tropicana trademarks.

This step emphasizes Teeba Investment's genuine interest in engaging with its customers and receiving feedback online. It also aims to encourage local community members to adopt healthy lifestyles and enhance positive interaction between the Company and its customers.

"We have seen a substantial increase in the popularity of social media channels across the Kingdom, especially amongst youth. More and more individuals are interacting with companies through the Internet. We hope that our customers will appreciate our sincere efforts to increase our engagement through the dedicated Facebook and Twitter channels and look forward to providing them with advice and tips on healthy eating habits and nutritious daily diets," commented Teeba Investment's General Manager Mohamed Saada.

The Almarai Facebook fan-page aims to engage with visitors and give them insight into Almarai's high-quality, great-tasting products. It also seeks to provide advice on the importance of incorporating these products into their daily diets.

Almarai also launched a new 'Lunchbox' competition on the Almarai Facebook fan-page. The competition provides mothers with creative ideas for preparing healthy, nutritious and tasty meals for their children. To participate in the one-month competition, visitors should upload pictures of their lunchboxes onto the fan-page, after which users will vote for their favorite photo. The picture receiving the highest number of votes at the end of the competition will win an iPad 2.

Through the Teeba Facebook fan-page, visitors will have access to tasty and nutritious food ideas, with a focus on yoghurt which is a commonly used ingredient in Arabic dishes. It will also offer interesting facts and useful tips on the importance of fitness and regular exercise.

Teeba Investment has also launched an interactive game for three months on the Teeba Facebook fan-page, where visitors can play and collect points. Players who collect the highest number of points at the end of each week will win an iPod, whilst the player who collects the highest number of points at the end of each month will receive an iPad 2.

Through the Tropicana Facebook fan-page, visitors will receive information on Tropicana's fresh fruit juices and the importance of incorporating them into their daily diet.

Teeba Investment's products are currently offered under three trademarks in Jordan: Teeba, which provides a range of dairy products that includes yoghurt, labaneh, jameed, shaninah, and zabadi; Almarai which offers a variety of cheese and milk products; and Tropicana, which comprises of a wide variety of natural, fresh juices.
