An award-winning SABIC affiliate being honored during the corporation
(MENAFN - Arab News) Saudi Basic Industries Corporation's (SABIC's) Vice Chairman and CEO Mohamed Al-Mady presided over the Environment, Health, Safety, Security (EHSS) and Reliability Day in Jubail.

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation's (SABIC's) Vice Chairman and CEO Mohamed Al-Mady presided over the Environment, Health, Safety, Security (EHSS) and Reliability Day in Jubail.

SABIC Corporate Control and SABIC Manufacturing jointly organized the event, which included lectures on industrial safety and environment, and the awarding of the SABIC EHSS & Reliability Awards to the winning affiliates and contractors for their outstanding performance in the past year.

Al-Mady said the world was experiencing challenges in all aspects of life, including business.

He stressed the importance of coping with these challenges, including those of the environment and sustainability.

Al-Mady said: "SABIC, since its inception, has seen phenomenal growth in the Kingdom and worldwide. SABIC has accomplished this growth due to the efforts of its loyal people."

Hamood Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, EVP, corporate control and chairman of the awards evaluation committee, said SABIC's operations in Saudi Arabia, Europe and America had seen significant improvement in this area among its affiliates, contractors and employees.

SABIC affiliates have continued to reap prestigious awards and certificates from prominent global, regional and local stakeholders.

Al-Mady honored the winning affiliates of Safety Awards. The Gold Award went to Al-Jubail Petrochemical Co KYMIA, which was received by its President Abdulaziz Al-Habardi; the Silver was lifted by Saudi Iron & Steel Co Hadeed, received by its President Hassan Al-Ghannam; and the Bronze went to Saudi European Petrochemical Co. Ibn Zahar, received by its President Abdullah Al-Onaizan.

In the Reliability Awards category, Al-Jubail United Petrochemical United won the Gold, received by its President Mohammed Al-Suhail; Al-Jubail Fertiliser Co. ALBAYRONI won the Silver, received by its President Ahmad Al-Jabr; and Arabian Petrochemical Co Petrokemya won the Bronze, received by its President, Omar Al-Amoudi.

Al-Mady also presented Reliability certificates to other deserving affiliates, and handed over the EHSS awards to contractors.
