Habtoor Leighton inks USD169m Saudi contract


(MENAFN) Habtoor Leighton Group's (HLG) Managing Director, Laurie Voyer, announced that the firm inked a USD169 million contract for a Saudi project, reported Xinhua News. Voyer added that the contract, which was awarded to the company in joint venture with Dragados Gulf Construction Company, includes building mine- related infrastructure for the Ma'aden Alcoa Aluminium joint venture's bauxite mine at Al Ba'itha in the Qassim central region of Saudi. He also said that HLG's share of the project, the second in the Kingdom in 2012, was worth USD85 million. It is worth noting that Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) is 45 percent-owned by top Australian contractor Leighton Holdings.
