(MENAFN - Arab News) Saudi Aramco and King Abdul Aziz Foundation signed an agreement in Riyadh yesterday in the presence of Defense Minister Prince Salman, who is the foundation's chairman, to document the history of the Kingdom's oil industry and support the historical content of King Abdul Aziz International Cultural Center.
The agreement was signed by Saudi Aramco President Khalid Al-Falih and Nasser Al-Johaimi, deputy secretary-general of the foundation.
In a statement on the occasion, Prince Salman commended Saudi Aramco's historic role in the Kingdom's economic, social and cultural development. He expressed his happiness over the cooperation between Aramco and the foundation.
Al-Falih said the agreement would strengthen his company's role in the areas of knowledge sharing and promoting culture. He said Aramco is happy to contribute to the content of King Abdul Aziz Cultural Center.
Saudi Aramco, meanwhile, signed another agreement with King Abdul Aziz City of Science and Technology in Riyadh to establish a national center for nondestructive testing inside KACST.
The agreement was signed by Muhammad Al-Suwaiyel, president of KACST, and Al-Falih. The center will be the first of its kind in the Kingdom and the Gulf region.
The center will strengthen the Kingdom's capabilities in terms of human resources and infrastructure, as it will provide advanced services for research, development and nondestructive testing.
