(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) More than 2,500 educational programmes from 30 countries will be on offer at this year's Gulf Education and Training exhibition which begins today at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The showcase of university programmes and vocational study is popular with students and parents who can meet with university officials from different countries under one roof. Universities also host information sessions for students who can get brochures, prospectus and special scholarships for enrolment at the exhibition.
Finding the right educational programme for higher studies can be a difficult task given the number of courses and universities here. With more than 430 programmes offered in Dubai-based universities, parents can be faced with the tough task of helping their children make final choice.
Highlights of this year's GETEX include the 'General Education' segment that will offer parents of K-12 students a host of options among international residential and boarding schools; 'Excellence Forums', an increasingly popular networking platform that provides students with invaluable resources and information that will assist them in making the right career choices.
A 'Professional Development' track will provide tools and resources to support graduates and professionals enhance their career prospects through various professional development programs as an 'Occupational Education' track will offer information on vocational courses, particularly for those who want to pursue a job-oriented programme.
The highlight of the three-day exhibition will be a 'Global EDTECH Forum', a teacher's conference integrating best practice in communicating and teaching by equipping educators with the latest tools, skills and technology.
The exhibition is being hosted at the Shaikh Saeed Hall at the Convention Centre till Saturday.
