(MENAFN - Arab News) Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) has announced a strategic partnership agreement with Nokia, benchmarking a new era in the mobile phone market. It is launching the latest range of 'Asha' Nokia smartphones with a free Internet bundle of 500 MB per monthm over the next six months.
The introduction of STC of the range of 'Asha' smartphones (200, 300, 302, and 303 models) comes with bundle 99, as part of the smartphones bundles, at a subscription rate of only SR99.
In addition, subscribers will receive any of the Nokia 'Asha' handsets free of charge and 120 MB, 100 minutes free voice calls, 100 SMS, and 100 multimedia messages (MMS), all within the network, on a monthly basis and for one year.
When purchasing any of the 'Asha' range, subscribers will receive a monthly free 250 MB Internet card over six months, which can be activated on a pre-paid number, where current subscribers can send an SMS with the card number to 8011099 to for immediate activation, while new subscribers can redeem the enclosed coupon to the handset at any of STC's showrooms with a prepaid chip with free 250 MB for a period of six months.
The 'Asha' range provides users the opportunity to connect to the Internet through the 3G network or through wireless networking, using Nokia browsers' capacity to reduce data consumption by 90 percent, thus speeding up Internet browsing while reducing costs.
The STC's launch of the Nokia 'Asha' range is further evidence of its commitment to being first to market in launching and providing packages and smart devices to all its subscribers, as well as providing the best services at the best prices.
