French GDF Suez plans to acquire rest of UK's International Power

(MENAFN) French GDF Suez SA said that it would pay USD0.662 per share to acquire the rest of UK's International Power, reported AP. The gas and electric utility added that in 2011, it bought most of the British firm, and the offer is for the remaining 30 percent that it doesn't own. It also said that it forecasts the deal to close in July, awaiting support from International Power minority shareholders. It is worth noting that GDF Suez didn't provide an estimated total cost of the new offer, however, it valued all IPR shares at USD36.1 billion.
