(MENAFN- Arab Times) Police have arrested an unidentified Syrian man on the outskirts of Wafra with a truckload of weapons and ammunition, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the arrest came after an unidentified citizen tipped of the State Security police about the activity of the Syrian.
When police arrested the man, they were shocked to find a huge cache of weapons (shotguns) and ammunition, following which the man's Kuwaiti sponsor was summoned for customary interrogation
Without going into details the daily said the Syrian and the weapons have been referred to the State Security police to find out the source of these weapons.
The daily also said during interrogation the Syrian led police to a hideout where more weapons were hidden. Police investigations are continuing.
