Iran plans to boost number of its aircraft

(MENAFN) Iran's Civil Aviation Organization's director, Reza Nakhjavani, said that the organization would raise the number of the country's passenger planes, reported Tehran Times. Nakhjavani added that the organization would also replace 25 planes with more than 30 years of service with new ones. On the other hand, he said that the priority of the country's airlines is to support Iranian investment and output, adding that at the current time, there are 14 carriers in operation in Iran, however, only Iran Air is state-run. It is worth noting that most of the planes the organization plans to replace are Boeing 707 and Boeing 727 models.
