Iran nuclear talks end with agreement on new round 

(MENAFN - Saudi Press Agency) The nuclear talks between Iran and six nations ended Saturday in Istanbul with an agreement to hold the next round on May 23 in Baghdad, DPA reported.

Both Iran and the six-country group of the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China met their goals, as they had gone to Istanbul with the aim of paving the way for more substantive talks in the future.

EU external relations chief Catherine Ashton, who leads the group of six, said the goal was now to solve the stand-off over Iran's controversial nuclear programme "step by step."
