BMW Q1 sales rise to 425,528 units


(MENAFN) BMW AG said that in the first quarter, sales grew to a record high of 425,528 units, reported AP. The German carmaker added that in the January-March period, sales increased 11.2 percent from 2011's same period. It also said that in March, sales jumped 12 percent from a year earlier to 185,728 vehicles. It is worth noting that BMW's car sales in the quarter were driven by growing deliveries in the US and China, which leaped 16.6 percent to 75,829 units and 36.8 percent to 80,014 units respectively.
