(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) The General Authority of Civil Aviation has won an award in the field of technology, creativity and quality from the Other ways Management Association Club (OMAC). The award was presented to the Authority during a ceremony organized by the OMAC in the German capital Berlin. The awards have been presented to 55 government departments, companies and institutions in 35 countries worldwide.
The winners are selected according to several criteria, including public satisfaction, leadership, continuing education, the results of the institution, the application of comprehensive quality measures, sustainable development, consulting, monitoring as well as planning and marketing.
Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi expressed his pleasure that the Authority gets this award, which he said is a new addition to its many achievements , and emphasizing the leading role and effective contribution by the Authority in the development of the air transport sector in the State of Qatar.
He also pointed out that the award is a confirmation of the good international reputation enjoyed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation and its vital projects for the development of the aviation sector, most important of which is the New Doha International Airport project, which is considered to be one of the most important major projects in Qatar.
