Kuwait- Don't mix politics with religion

(MENAFN- Arab Times) "There is no religion in politics and there is no politics in religion. Politics belongs to the regime and a religious man's place is in the mosque", reports Al-Seyassah quoting former minister of communications Issa Al-Mazeedi. He said it is not possible to refer back to the tenure of Caliph because the methods used during that time cannot be applied these days considering the huge developments and inventions taking place. He also said the religious blocs in some Arab and European countries are double-faced as they do not mind allying with the devil to achieve their goals, indicating that religious men who participate in politics tend to dominate all fields. He went on to say that the step of forming parties based on doctrines jeopardizes national unity and serves other agendas, stressing that democratization in Kuwait has not ripened yet and needs another 50 more years to reach full form. He further stressed that the dignity of the government lies in applying laws impartially on everyone in the state of Kuwait.
