Iraq's Asiacell may list on Iraq stock market


(MENAFN) Iraq's Asiacell's CEO, Taha Ahmad Abdul Salam Al Rubaye, said that the operator will likely list shares on the Iraq Stock Exchange by the start of 2012's second half, reported Gulf News. Al Rubaye added that according to its operating license, Asiacell, an affiliate of Qatar Telecom, was due to trade a quarter of its shares on the Iraqi bourse by the end of August 2011. He also said that according to regulations, the company had also to convert its forms of incorporation to public firm before listing on the bourse. It is worth noting that Asiacell was able to convert into a shareholding company from a limited company, according to the CEO.
