(MENAFN) Etihad Airways said that total revenues last month grew 14 percent from a month earlier and 19 percent from 2011's same period, reported Gulf News.
The national carrier of the UAE added that cargo jumped 20 percent in the period, reaching a record high of 31,700 tons, up from 27,900 tons in February.
It also said that in the first quarter, it took advantage of higher capacity after receiving a B777 freighter at the end of 2011, and from launching new passenger routes.
It is worth noting that in 2011, Etihad cargo operations represented 20 percent of the carrier's revenues, when average monthly loads were 25,900 tons.
