(MENAFN - Arab News) Four key US companies have expressed willingness to set up manufacturing bases in Jubail Industrial Cities (12) and Ras Al-Khair city, a visiting US Congressman said.
Keith Ellison, the US Congressman who is leading a high-profile business delegation to the Kingdom, said Dow Chemicals, Alcoa, ExxonMobil, and Jacobs Engineering were showing keen interests and prepared for new investments in Saudi market.
Ellison, who met with Saudi businessmen in the Eastern Region chamber of commerce and industry (ERCCI), reported by local media, said the four companies would help transfer technology in different areas such as water treatment, health care, industry, and agriculture.
The US Congressman called on Saudi businessmen to visit Minnesota state to explore investment opportunities there. He said their visit was aimed at establishing long-standing partnerships between firms in Minnesota state and those in the KSA.
It is to be recalled that Ellison is leading a delegation of Minnesota-based companies on a business development mission to Saudi Arabia and will meet with government and business leaders in Riyadh and Dammam.
For his part, member of the ERCCI Abdullah Al-Zamil said the repeated visits by US-KSA business missions had contributed in building strong understanding between the two countries.
