(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Prominent experts have hailed Qatar Petroleum's (QP) wide-scale operations in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
The notes came as QP participated in the 10th Middle East Geosciences Conference and Exhibition (GEO 2012), currently staged in Bahrain. QP participated in the exhibition among over 150 companies and corporations representing 27 countries. The major six Gulf petroleum companies in addition to several global oil and gas companies are taking part in the conference, where more than 2,000 geological experts are attending.
QP pavilion in the conference shows the different sides of the company's activities, in addition to the operations of Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO). Visitors of the pavilion were interested in knowing more about the QP most recent projects and job opportunities, a QP statement said.
Held for the first time in 1994, GEO is the most significant event to showcase the products and services of petroleum geology in the Middle East. This year's edition is organized under the theme of "Shaping the Future of Geoscience in the Middle East", with more than 360 papers and posters shown, and five sessions held.
