Qatar's GIS' 2011 revenue at USD407m

(MENAFN) Qatar's Gulf International Services (GIS) group's Chairman, Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, said that the company's revenue slipped 1.1 percent in 2011 over a year earlier to USD407 million, reported The Peninsula. Al Sada, who is also Qatar's Minister of Energy, added that net profit for the year ended December 31, 2011 reached USD81.5 million. He also said that the positive results for both revenues and profits came in spite of the hard financial and operational conditions in which the company operated in the year. It is worth noting that GIS was founded in 2008 in order to bring some of the country's major oil and gas support service firms within one group.
