Four Bedoun protesters arrested in Kuwait 

(MENAFN - Arab Times) The security forces took into custody four bedoun " from a group of about 20 men " who had gathered on the Al-Najashi Street, in Taima and prevented them from holding a demonstration to demand their rights.

The Ministry of Interior had made elaborate arrangements and erected police barricades at entry and exit points throughout Taima to foil the bedoun attempt.

The entire area was cordoned off by police patrols in what the Interior Ministry said its determination to stop such protests.

Meanwhile, reliable sources said the bedoun were encouraged by some political activist through social networking websites over the past few days to demand their rights.

In another development some young bedoun men said they were shocked when ministries and government institutions refused to accept their job applications although the Civil Service Commission had announced opening the door for them to apply for jobs.

Those applying for jobs were holders of diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees.
However, the concerned ministries and government institutions justified their action saying they have yet to receive notification in this regard from the CSC.
