Woman accused of swearing at husband in UAE 

(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The RAK Misdemeanour Court, presided over by Judge Yusuf Rajab, heard a case in which a man accused his wife of swearing at him.

In his plea, the husband told the court that his wife left their house only a few days after the marriage. "Though she filed a lawsuit for divorce at the Family Court, she used abusive language against me," he told the court.

Court records showed that the family disputes erupted between the litigants one week after wedding. All amicable settlements turned futile, and the case was referred to the court. Though the husband insisted on continuing the relation, his wife totally refused, claiming that he tricked and swore at her several times despite their short marriage. The court ordered the adjournment of the case to March 26.

In another case, the RAK Misdemeanour Court of Appeal heard a case in which a contractor is accused of employing his father in violation of labour regulations.

The case unfolded late last year when the RAK residency inspectors apprehended an Arab contractor red-handed while recruiting six workers including his father. The court, presided over by Judge Ibrahim Al Manaei, adjourned the case to April 2 for judgment.
