(MENAFN - Arab Times) Politicians and well-known personalities have criticized a foreign-based company for using the money of Kuwaiti investors to trade and promote liquor in the interest of a Ger-man hotel, reports Al-Musta-qbal daily.
The daily had earlier published a news report saying the bar belonging to this hotel had won 12 international awards for sale of liquor.
Mubarak Al-Harees, who had earlier contested the National Assembly elections but failed to make it to the Parliament, has said Kuwaiti investors in this company can file a criminal lawsuit if the members of the board of the company refuse to suspend such illegal activity.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Al-Obeid, political activist, has urged lawmakers to submit a parliamentary query to the concerned minister requesting him to disclose the circumstances of this issue and provide an appropriate solution for the problem.
Dr Ayed Al-Manna, another political activist, says any Kuwaiti investment overseas is subjected to the sovereignty of the country.
In the meantime, one of the citizens said this business does not honor Kuwait abroad and called upon the concerned authorities to rescue the name of Kuwait which is harmed by some people who are looking for personal interest.
