(MENAFN) Hong Kong Airlines' spokesperson, Eva Chan, said that the carrier decided on postponing its initial public offering (IPO) till after September of 2012 due to market conditions, reported Khaleej Times.
The delay came based on the recommendation of the bank facilitating the IPO which was planned to raise around USD643.88 million.
Global markets have been facing volatility of equities, thus investors are moved away from new listings.
It is worth noting that IPO issuance in the Asia-Pcific has gone down by over fifty percent in 2011, year-on-year, due to global market volatility.
