Qatar Exchange Down 1.61%


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Qatar Exchange was down on Tuesday 133.35 points or 1.61% to 8,157.48 points from the previous closing of 8,290.83. The volume of shares traded was up to 7,025,223 from 5,468,144 on Monday, and the value of shares increased to QR 328,796,841.60 from QR 252,576,831.58 Monday. Among the top losers were Comm. Bank of Qatar whose share dropped by 3.50% to QR74.50, Electricity & Water fell 3.00% to QR132.50, Doha Bank lost 3.39% to QR57.00 and Al Kaleej Takaful down 2.22% to QR44.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector lost 260.21 points while the Insurance sector fell 51.86 points. The Qatar industrial sector dropped 85.28 points and the Services sector down 63.14 points.
