(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Five Kuwaiti companies are partaking in the ninth international exhibition for hunting gear and equestrian sports which began here on September 14 with the participation of 596 companies.
Director General of the Qanas Company for arms, ammunition, and hunting equipment Dawood Al-Dabous told KUNA that the exhibition, which began in 2003, had helped in preserving the traditional sports of falconry in the UAE and the GCC.
The current exhibition helped to gather all those interested in the main theme of the gathering, and hopefully such events would be held regularly in other parts of the Gulf region, said Al-Dabous.
Al-Hadaf Company owner Zaid Al-Sanee said, on his part, that his company was participating for the seventh year in the exhibition, affirming that such annual event would help in promoting his goods which mainly consist of hunting gear of all sorts.
Other Kuwaiti exhibitors stressed that partaking in the international exhibition helped in keeping such activities much alive in the region, hoping that Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and other official institutions would help in sponsoring such events in Kuwait.
