Egypt- Minister of Health: doctors' strike will not affect services


(MENAFN- Youm7) Hospitals will be running normal operations during the doctors' strike that will last from Saturday until Tuesday, reported Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Amr Hilmi, stressing that the ministry will deal with the strike peacefully. Various actions have been taken to continue to provide medical service during the strike, the minister said. Doctors on holiday and retired doctors will be called upon to serve, if necessary. Doctors and members of medical teams in leadership position were alerted and asked to support and supervise medical teams in hospitals to ensure the continued operation of medical services, the minister said, indicating that emergency departments will take top priority.
