(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) The Qatar Exchange keep its upward trend,the first day of the after the eid holiday, Sunday adding 89.11 points or 1.07% to 8,440.88 points from the previous closing of 8,351.77. The volume of shares traded was fell to 5,262,945 from 7,917,302 on last day and the value of shares was down to QR236,257,869.82 from QR300,707,087.33 last day.

Top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 2.33% to QR144.90, Comm. Bank of Qatar rose 1.97% to QR82.70, Qatar Insurance gained 3.38% to QR82.70 and Electricity & Water added by 1.37% to QR133.50. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 177.26 while the Insurance sector up 233.38 points. The Qatar industrial sector added 22.90 points and the Services sector rose 38.66 points.
