Bahrain's Commercial Facilities Q2 net profit up 38%


(MENAFN) Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company's chairman, Abdulrahman Yusuf Fakhro, said that due to the firm's plans to control costs, in the second quarter, net profit rose 38 percent compared with 2010, reported Gulf Daily News. Fakhro added that in the quarter, the company's earnings reached USD5.5 million from USD6.3 million as a result of an improvement in the business performance, while first half's profit reached USD9.5 million. He also said that the company's subsidiary, National Motor Company's profit reached USD 1.9 million in the year's first half, whereas second quarter profits grew to USD1.5 million from USD 351,964 in the previous quarter. It is worth noting that in the quarter, demand for credit rose 47 percent from first quarter's USD26.4 million to USD38.9 million.
