Motorola sues TiVo for using patented technology


(MENAFN) Motorola Mobility Inc. reported suing TiVo Inc., claiming that TiVo used a Motorola patented technology in its digital video recorder set-top boxes, reported Saudi Press Agency. Motorola stated that it would aggressively sue any entity that does not respect its research, development and intellectual property. According to Motorola, its subsidiary General Instrument owns multiple patents for DVR technology that TiVo used in its DVR set-top box. The California-based TiVo did not give a comment on the law suit.
