Made in Qatar exhibition from tomorrow 

(MENAFN - The Peninsula) The second edition of 'Made in Qatar' exhibition is set to open here tomorrow under the patronage of the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The four- day event at Doha Exhibition Center is organised by Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Industry.

The expo reaffirms Qatar Vision 2030 diversifying the country's economy from the traditional sectors of oil and gas and expanding it sources of generating national income. The exhibition will showcase high quality products made in Qatar.

The event will feature 180 companies from various sectors, which are grouped in four sections - Manufacturing and Food Industries; Petrochemicals, General, Medium and Small Enterprises. Around 70 percent of the companies which have confirmed their participation in the exhibition are petroleum industries. The event will also host organisations under the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Social Development Centre which will exhibit home-made products.

Delegations from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and the Federation of GCC Chambers ( FGCCC) will take part in the exhibition.

The 2011 edition will feature lectures and seminars that would discuss means of developing the industries and entrepreneurs, as well as finding solutions to the difficulties they face.

QCCI is also looking at hosing similar exhibitions in other GCC states as it can help spread awareness and present a forum to participants to showcase their products and services to business and general visitors and boost export prospects.

The sponsors of the exhibition are Qatar Development Bank (QDB), Qatar National Aluminum Panel Company (QNAPC), Salam International and Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC).
