Qatar's Mannai posts QR126.1m H1 profits


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Mannai Corporation has reported net profits of QR126.1m for the first six months (H1) of the current. The profits are up 20 percent compared to QR105.4m in the corresponding period of 2009. A company statement said yesterday that the growth in net profits builds on the 26 percent increase in full-year profits recorded in 2009. Return on Equity in the first half (H1) of 2010 rose to 33 percent as compared to 26 percent for 2009. Earnings per share (EPS) rose to QR5.31 as compared to QR4.44 in the first half of 2009. “The growth in earnings is remarkable under the current economic climate and it is at times such as these that we appreciate the diversity of our business Group” Alekh Grewal, CEO of Mannai Corporation was quoted as saying.
