(MENAFN - Morocco Business News) Moroccans' confidence in the future of their economy is not affected by the crisis. This is the outcome of a survey conducted by Ipsos to gauges the prevailing sense of economic sentiments within the region MENA.

Ipsos' survey, dubbed Consumer Confidence Tracker, found that most Moroccans are not worries about the effects of the global financial crisis.

Respondents still think that the country will be spared from the financial problems faced by some countries. They even showed unwavering confidence in the improvement of their financial situation and that of Morocco.

Founded in 1975, Ipsos is a multinational marketing and research company. This is the first time that it includes Morocco in its MENA region survey, along with KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.

Morocco is showing economic dynamism, which is drawing the attention of some of the biggest companies, Jean-Franois Meyer, Ipsos' Country Manager in Morocco, told the Moroccan daily L'Economiste.

He added that it is gaining the confidence of the most important opinion makers in the world.

Last month, a survey by the country's body in charge of statistics (HCP) reached almost the same results. Most respondents had shown optimism with regard to the improvement of their living standards

The survey, which covered the period spanning 2007-2010, also revealed that the majority of households expect the overall and their own economic situation to get better.

Families however showed a deep pessimism concerning the perspectives of the job market, as most of them doubted the unemployment would register a significant decrease.
