BankMuscat sponsors ISC Badminton 

(MENAFN - Times of Oman) BankMuscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, has for the second consecutive year, become the main sponsor of the Annual Badminton Tournament organised by the Indian Social Club Muscat. Seeing the popularity of badminton and the proficiency with which the Indian Social Club Muscat has organized successful sports events over the years, Bank Muscat, who is at the forefront of promoting and supporting sports events in the country, agreed to add the ISC Badminton tournament to its long list of sponsored events.

Title holder Zakariya MP of the ISC gets the top billing in the men's singles with Albert V.R. seeded No. 2. Talented Pranav Rao is seeded No. 1 in the boys under-16 singles with Anuj Saji as the No. 2 seed. K. Philip Joseph is the top seed in the Vetarans' singles while George D'Couto is seeded two.

A press note said that the tournament got underway last night with first round matches in the under-12 singles, the boys under-16 singles and the veterans singles. The tournament includes Men's Singles, Men's - A Singles, Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles, Veterans' Singles, Veterans' Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, Men's - A Doubles, Boys' Singles (under-12, under-14 & under-16 years), Girls' Singles (under-12, under-14 & under-16 years) and Family Doubles.
