Amman Stock Exchange trading report for Mar 16


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Tuesday's trading value amounted to JD36.7 million spread over 45.3 million shares traded through 11,509 transactions. The share price index closed at 2,506 points, an increase of 0.37 per cent. Out of 170 companies whose shares were traded, prices of 73 corporations rose, and those of 57 firms declined. The top five gainers were Specialised Investment Compounds by 4.90 per cent, Union Land Development Corporation by 4.86 per cent, Akary for Industries and Real Estate Investments by 4.86 per cent, Unified Transport and Logistics by 4.84 per cent, and General Arabia Insurance by 4.71 per cent. The top five losers were Babelon Investments by 5 per cent, Public Mining by 5 per cent, Middle East Pharma. and Chemical Ind. and Medical Appliances by 4.94 per cent, Arab German Insurance by 4.91 per cent, and Jordan National Bank by 4.85 per cent.
