Amman Stock Exchange trading report for Jan 17


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Sunday's trading value amounted to JD20.3 million spread over 15.8 million shares traded through 6,648 transactions. The share price index closed at 2,587 points, a drop of 0.41 per cent. Out of 157 companies whose shares were traded, prices of 52 corporations rose, and the shares prices of 71 firms declined. The top five gainers were Specialised Jordanian Investment by 5 per cent, Al Fatihoun Al Arab for Industry and Trade by 5 per cent, Jordanian Real Estate Company for Development by 5 per cent, Irbid District Electricity by 4.94 per cent and Jordan Insurance by 4.91 per cent. The top five losers were Arab German Insurance by 5 per cent, Amoun International for Investments by 5 per cent, Unified Transport and Logistics by 5 per cent, Holy Land Insurance by 5 per cent and Arab Real Estate Development by 4.88 per cent.
