Amman Stock Exchange trading report for Jan 5 

(MENAFN - Jordan Times) Tuesday's trading value amounted to JD33.1 million spread over 22.2 million shares traded through 9,463 transactions.

The share price index closed at 2,573 points, an increase of 0.37 per cent.

Out of 166 companies whose shares were traded, prices of 70 corporations rose, and those of 67 entities declined.

The top five gainers were Arab for Investment Projects by 5 per cent, Middle East Pharma. and Chemical Ind. and Medical Appliances by 5 per cent, Jordan Investment Trust by 4.96 per cent, Al Ekbal Printing and Packaging by 4.82 per cent, and Resources Company for Development and Investment Plc by 4.76 per cent.

The top five losers were Al Ahlia Enterprises by 4.90 per cent , Jordan Paper & Cardboard Factories by 4.90 per cent , Jordan Vegetable Oil Industries by 4.76 per cent, Holy Land Insurance by 4.76 per cent and Falcon for Investment & Financial Services by 4.68 per cent.
