Amman Stock Exchange trading report for Dec 14 

(MENAFN - Jordan Times) Monday's trading value amounted to JD35.4 million spread over 25.5 million shares traded through 11,067 transactions.

The share price index closed at 2,624 points, an increase of 1.3 per cent.

Out of 172 companies whose shares were traded, prices of 87 entities rose, and those of 54 corporations declined.

The top five gainers were Arab Bank by 5 per cent, Universal Chemical Industries by 4.96 per cent, Jordan Investment Trust by 4.92 per cent, Middle East Insurance by 4.89 per cent and Specialised Investment Compounds by 4.80 per cent.

The top five losers were Jordan French Insurance by 4.90 per cent, South Electronics by 4.88 per cent, Rum Group for Transportation & Tourism Investment by 4.83 per cent, Al Bilad for Securities and Investment by 4.80 per cent, and Jordan Paper & Cardboard Factories by 4.78 per cent.
