Two Assistant General Managers appointed at Doha Bank


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha Bank has announced the appointment of two new Assistant General Managers to boost its senior management hierarchy. Named new AGMs were Gerard Fitzgerald for the Technology, Operations & Admin/ Engg and Louis Scotto for Retail Banking. Fitzgerald, 50, brings with him more than a quarter of a century of experience in financial services at senior levels. He worked for Citibank and Barclays Bank in Europe, Africa and the Middle East where he was part of the management team that implemented start-up operations in commercial, retail and consumer finance. His new role in Doha Bank will be to optimize all processes in Technology and Operations and to ensure that services to customers are the best in class. Scotto, 57, is a veteran banker with more than 35 years experience in the US, Europe and the Middle East. He too started his career with Citibank, New York, and then moved overseas where he was instrumental in establishing Citibank?s retail franchise in the Middle East. His regional exposure includes Riyadh Bank, National Bank of Kuwait, and the Emirates NBD Bank. He has also served as President of the American Business Council, Dubai. Seetharaman, Doha Bank CEO, said the appointments have been made to enhance the bank?s market position and our service to the customers. ?Their rich and extensive experience in respective fields would undoubtedly give Doha Bank more opportunities as the market conditions improve over time,? he said.
