EWS Receives New ECA Permit
AJAX, ONTARIO, Dec 24, 2012 (Menafn - MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --Environmental Waste International Inc. (EWS) hasreceived its new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) permit fromthe Ontario Ministry of Environment for its TR900 tire recyclingsystem in Sault Ste. Marie. EWS will resume at will operation of thesystem after the required post combustion treatment for the powergenerator is installed, which it expects will occur before the end ofJanuary, 2013.
The TR900 system breaks down used tires into carbon, steel and vapor. The vapor is cooled to allow oil to condense and the remaining gas isscrubbed, blended with natural gas and fed into a generator toproduce power. Over the past several months, various groups ofpotential buyers have visited the site to observe the TR900 inoperation. The system operated very well and met the processingparameters it was designed for. Visiting parties were impressed withits operation.
Based on the enthusiastic response by potential buyers to the TR900pilot waste tire plant, the EWS Board has decided to begin the searchfor a new CEO. The Board has determined that the commercialization ofEWS's Reverse Polymerization technology will require a new set ofmanagement skills.
EWS has designed systems for the breakdown and recovery of usablebyproducts from several organic materials, including rubber tires, and for the sterilization of medical, animal, liquid and food waste.EWS continues to explore other applications for its technology. Please visit the EWS website at: www.ewmc.com.
