Family Business Constitution @ Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization

As families and their business grow, more individuals become involved; their expectations regarding the business may diverge and conflict may arise. An important method to manage and resolve such issues is by creating a document called a family constitution, otherwise known as the family creed or protocol.

It is a formal document that can be either small and simple, or big and complex; it includes the mission, vision and strategy of the family business. The constitution, also, contains conflict resolution processes, and it defines the roles and composition of the influences in the business, such as the managers, directors, shareholders and some family members.

The family business constitution is an essential tool to maintaining order in the company and preserving the family’s legacy for generations to come
