SOFEX 2008
SOFEX 2008, has attracted some of the Kingdom’s most esteemed public and private entities to sponsor the 7th edition of the world’s leading special operations and homeland security conference and exhibition, which will take place on March 31st until April 3rd at the King Abdullah I Airbase in Marka.
With less one than one month to go, scores of public and private sector organizations have confirmed their support for SOFEX 2008, cementing its position as one of Jordan’s leading international events, which attracts thousands of participants from all around the world representing the defense industry’s most renowned and leading manufacturers, in addition to government delegations from the Middle East and North Africa, around the world and a large contingent of international media.
Due to the large international presence at each SOFEX edition, the event has proven to be an ideal opportunity for the Jordanian Armed Forces and Jordanian companies and organizations to showcase their capabilities as well as meet and network with leading foreign companies and delegations from every corner of the globe.
SOFEX is held under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the supervision of HRH Prince Feisal, Chairman of the Board of SOFEX and enjoys the support of the Jordan Armed Forces. The importance of SOFEX is further demonstrated by the fact that over 29 local entities are sponsoring and supporting this year’s event including the Amman Municipality, the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB), Orange/Jordan Telecom Group, Skynet, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Le Royal Hotel, LG, CNS Primus, Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), Radisson SAS Hotel, MIDAS, Jordan Kuwait Bank, JorMall, MDS, Paramount, Northrop Grumman, DRS, Salem Security, JLVM-LCDR, Arab Orient, Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), AICI, Gerber/Silva, Motorola, General Dynamics and M.S Jaffar and Sons amongst others.

SOFEX 2008 is an exclusive four-day event that will commence with a one-day “Middle East Special Operations Commanders Conference”, followed by a three day comprehensive state-of-the-art exhibition.
