(MENAFN) US Petra Solar stated that it will develop a solar project in Bahrain along with Bahrain's National Oil & Gas, Bahrain Petroleum and Caspian Energy Holdings, reported Arabian Business.

The developer of distributed solar projects said that the project includes the development of 5 megawatts of power systems, in addition to providing a system to monitor the electricity grid and the solar panels.

The South Plainfield, New Jersey-based firm added that the panels will be established in the township of Awali, the University of Bahrain and other parts of the Gulf kingdom.

It is worth noting that the project is part of Bahrain's plan to develop renewable energy to guarantee the sustainable development of the country, according to Bahrain's Ministry of Energy.
