September traffic up at Frontier Airlines
Oct 14, 2013 (Menafn - AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION via COMTEX) --US airline operator Republic Airways Holdings' RJET Frontier Airlines subsidiary said that its total system load factor in September increased three percentage points to 91% from September 2012's 88% setting a new record for the month and a record fifth consecutive month with a load factor above 90%.
Frontier's total system revenue passenger miles decreased 11% to 0.8bn RPMs on a 13% reduction in available seat miles.
The carrier said it served approximately 0.9m passengers in September, a 10% reduction from the same period last year.
Frontier Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, an airline holding company that also owns Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America.
Currently in its 20th year of operations, Frontier offers service to more than 75 destinations in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. The airline employs more than 3,900 aviation professionals, operating from its hub at Denver International Airport.
