Saudi SWCC inks agreement for 3 floating desalination plants


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has reportedly inked a deal with an international firm for the production of 150,000 cubic meters of potable desalinated water daily through three floating desalination plants established on barges.

Each floating desalination plant was confirmed to offer a production capacity of of 50,000 cubic meters of desalinated water per day.

The barges were designed to be stationed opposite Al-Shaqeeq desalination plants in order to feed the SWCC tanks with desalinated water.

It is possible to benefit of the SWCC experience in Reverse Osmosis (RO) energy saving technologies, as stated Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of SWCC Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli.
