Al-Jubair affirmed that Saudi Arabia is exerting efforts to achieve its vision 2030, diversify its economy away from oil, and reflected its intention to reach a competitive and more creative economy by launching the capabilities and potentials of male and female young people to contribute to improving the standard of living in the Kingdom.
He added "We are looking for partners in all sectors, whether in technology, finance, industry, defense, health or education, for bilateral investment, and we want to invest in these companies, same like our investment in "Ober", as we want these companies to invest in Kingdom in our numerous ongoing projects and under-planning projects. "
Commenting on a question about Qatar's classification of 10 people as terrorist financiers which they already listed within the list of the four countries to combat terrorism financiers and its impact on the Camp David summit of the GCC and the United States, Al-Jubair said "We have established a list of terrorist financiers and the United States has also established a list of terrorist financiers, including Qatari individuals," he added that Qatar had initially rejected and denied the list of the four countries: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to those financiers of terrorism.
Al-Jubair went on to say "This latest Qatari action is a recognition by itself that it has a problem and needs a solution," he said "I hope they will move forward in this direction and realize that they have a problem needs to be addressed."
He added that the dispute with Qatar has nothing to do with the relations of GCC countries with US or any other entities, and the Camp David Summit between the GCC states and the United States will be held to discuss the challenges facing the GCC states and the United States and how to deal with them, as well as issues of Security, military, counterterrorism, terrorism financing, trade and investment. He said that this summit will not address the issue of Qatar because the dispute with Qatar is an internal matter among the GCC partners and is being dealt with within the GCC.
The Foreign Minister expressed hope to work and cooperate with the new US National Security Advisor John Bolton.
In response to a question about Iran's role in Yemen, he said: "The only role that Iran plays in Yemen is a destructive role by smuggling ballistic missiles to terrorist militias in Yemen and using these missiles against civilians in Yemen and Saudi Arabia'.
"Iran has no role to play in Yemen, and there is no evidence that Iran has laid a single brick in the building process of Yemen and has not spent a single dollar to help the Yemeni people, while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the GCC states are the biggest supporters of Yemen because Yemenis are our brothers and neighbors. It is in our interest to ensure that Yemen remains stable, safe, united and able to improve the living conditions of Yemenis and we are determined to help Yemenis achieve this, "he said.
Al-Jubair added "The issue is a Yemeni-Yemeni and we believe that the Houthis can play a role in Yemen, but this role must be commensurate with their size, they should not to try to dominate Yemen, and we believe that the solution in Yemen must be a political solution, but the military operations will continue because the Houthis continue on dominating Yemen.
As regards Iran, it must come out of Yemen and stop providing terrorist militias with ballistic missiles and abide by international resolutions, Al-Jubeir stated.
In response to a question if any talks with the US side have taken place on the subject of nuclear power plants in Saudi Arabia, the Foreign Minister explained that the discussions are continuing between the concerned officials on this matter from both countries. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also discusses the issue of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes with different countries, as these discussions are in advanced stage.
